Sorry to report, but we have had another bright poetic light extinguished. Christian Amadeus Taylor apparently took his own life by ingesting cyanide. He was a good friend of Amir Safi and appeared with Write About Now at Avant Garden in Houston and at Mic Check at Revolution Cafe and Bar in Bryan. He was a biochemistry major at Texas A&M and worked on The Eckleburg Project, literary magazine. I only met him recently, but I was immediately impressed with his intelligence and intensity. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. Services are 2pm Friday at Dossman Funeral Home Chapel in Belton. There may be plans for a remembrance in Houston, and I will post when I find out.
