Sorting through some DVDs to take to Ireland for my grandchildren - TopicsExpress

Sorting through some DVDs to take to Ireland for my grandchildren to watch should it rain (hah) We have no telly there and watch on my computer... I cam across the BBC Series of Just William that was made a few years ago. Across the case it had a banner First Series and remembered how, when I found out the second series had been ditched by some know nothing suit at the BBC it had struck me that the corporation really were in trouble. There was no second series because of some executive decision - the first series was the BBC at its very best - brilliant casting directing actind costumes setts - the four episodes made were beautifully adapted and the pace of the shows was terrific. It makes eminent sense then to bin a second series. My grandchildren and I have watched the first series so many times now and we get as much pleasure now as we did the first time - they are classics. Accountants and men in suits who know feck all mostly run the beeb now and that is very sad. In the west of Ireland, as the rain hammers down on the roof (maybe not) we will watch Just William again and will curse the suits and their brass necks. The great Bristish Bake Off? Feck off - we should have had a second series you clowns. Rant over - off for a haircut.
