Source: Rainbow Radio Yes Fund a deception -Rev. Bosomtwe Ayensu The initiation and subsequent establishment of the Youth Enterprises Support Fund by the Mahama led National Democratic Congress administration has been described as one of the usual deceptive tactics by Ghanaian politicians to squander public funds. The Rev. Minister in charge of the Obuasi Diocese of the Methodist church, Rt. Rev. Richard Stephen Bosomtwe Ayensu who gave the gloomy description said, he is afraid if the youth of the country stands to benefit from the 10 million cedis($3m) seed capital fund. The man of God categorically stated that the new initiative will only be distributed to party cronies who are disgruntled. He further noted that the unconducive economic conditions of the country cannot make any business to thrive hence the so called youth enterprises initiative not a wise one to be even launched at this time. He stated that high inflation rate, the fast depreciation of the dollar against major international trading currencies, inconsistent supply of electric power as some of the poor conditions which will not allow any start - up businesses to thrive. Rt. Rev. Ayensu said it is clear that the president want to use the 10 million cedis to buy votes since the 2016 elections are just around the corner. He questioned the whereabouts of the findings of the committee that investigated the GYEEDA and SADA corrupt allegations. He prescribed that if the president mean well for the youth of this country by instituting the fund, then all the political parties in the country must be given desks at the secretariat to ensure that their members have access to some of the money. Rt. Rev. Richard Stephen Bosomtwe Ayensu asked the leaders of Ghana to note that if they refuse to render accounts to Ghanaians, they will render accounts to God and urged them to be mindful of their actions.
