South African Trade Federation, #COSATU, is threatening to call a mass boycott and a massive campaign against Choppies Stores in the countys North West Province. COSATU has declared war on #Choppies Stores in the North West, after Choppies reportedly suspended almost all its workers in the Delareyville and Mahikeng stores on Friday and Saturday, and dismissed some for allegations based on evidence from cameras. In a statement released yesterday COSATU says Choppies further employed casuals and some workers from the other shops to do the work. The federation says it is calling for an urgent meeting with the senior management and all the directors of the store to discuss the exploitation of workers. #COSATU warned of a massive boycott of all the Choppies stores in the North West Province shoulf the meeting scheduled for this week fail to materialize. Gabz FM efforts to reach Choppies Management in Botswana were unsuccessful.
