Southbound local freight train at Martin St., May 1970. Everything you see is gone today. The Martin St. grade crossing had non-standard warning lights that would not be lawful today. They consisted of a yellow stop sign with a flashing yellow light above and below the word STOP, one on each side of the tracks. They were installed by the city after a fatal collision with a car, sometime in the 1950s. I never saw another installation like it.
