Southdale in contracts and apprenticeships boost A Warrington developer is injecting almost £13m into the local economy and pledging to create apprenticeship opportunities. The boost follows Southdale’s success in securing four new contracts to provide a range of housing schemes around the North West. Its contract wins comprise a £1.8m project for 24 houses and apartments in Chorley for Adactus Housing Group, a scheme for Halton Housing Trust in Widnes for a £6.3m scheme of 50 extra-care flats and five bungalows, a contract to build 34 houses and apartments for Great Places in Sheffield, worth £2.6m, and Tulle Court, a scheme of 18 houses for Great Places in Prestwich, worth £2m. Southdale has pledged to create an apprenticeship for every £1m-worth of work it wins.
