Last season Cottrell ran the ball 120 times for 1,756 yards and 22 Touchdowns, meaning he gained more than 14.6 yards per carry and made a trip to the end zone every 5.5 carries. He had 13 receptions for 276 yards and 4 Touchdowns, which puts him at 21.2 yards per reception and a Touchdown every 3.3 receptions. He had 1 Punt Return for a Touchdown and 3 Kick Returns for Touchdowns for a total of 30 Touchdowns as a Junior at Knoxville West High School. The best part of all of this? Working with incredibly talented young men who genuinely want to work hard and be great at what they do. Nathan Cottrell and Taj Griffin are two incredible athletes who left me wondering if I was more impressed with their talent or their character.
