Space shuttle Atlantis and the five-member STS-98 crew delivered the Destiny laboratory module in February 2001. Installation of the fourth station module occurred over three spacewalks. Station orientation was switched over to gyroscopes for the first time conserving propellants. The shuttle mission which lasted 13 days was the second to visit Expedition 1.
