Speak Dutch? Handy with Chromes translation tool? Check out this great review of Belgian Rythm and Blues Festival. Blues Peer ! Or just read our rough translation of Layla Zoe Fanpages piece below: For those who would still doubt, Sonny Landreth from Lafayette, Louisiana is one of the absolute world of slide guitarists. Eric Clapton would otherwise not want to share his Crossroads Guitar Festival 2010 in Chicago. Stage with him in Peer Sonny Landreth was accompanied by Dave Ronson (bass) and Brian Brignac (drums). He immediately put ashore with some good instrumental songs which he amply showcased his sublime technique. The guitar of Sonny Landreth is heavily influenced by the Cajun and Zydeco music and sounds at times like a violin. He proves this in songs like Levee Town, The USS Zydecoldsmobile and Promised Land (not the Chuck Berry song). The highlight in the activities of Sonny Landreth came, however, when Ana Popovic appeared instrumental help back on stage in her footsteps, followed by Canadian blues singer Layla Zoe. The trio released a gorgeous version of Walking Blues. Later, our return home, we heard on Radio 1 Jan Sprengers come back to, and he brought this the whole song. Only then it dawned on us what a unique moment we have experienced there.
