**Speak the truth** I was grown up in an exam oriented system - TopicsExpress

**Speak the truth** I was grown up in an exam oriented system where good exam results were the tool to measure ones success in life. In that period, people value people with what they get and didnt aware of the little progress that their children had made. Not to blame the parents becos that was what the education was. Children were confined with exams and years before sitting for the final exams..parents had to ensure their children were mentally n physically prepared to get straight As. And if they didnt..the society will judge the children as people who would have hard lives in future. We were book readers, smart in words, theory speakers and people of rules. We were dare to voice the facts but fear to think the logic behind every issue. I am not againsts anyone for people always say you are what you are n you determine ur life BUT I feel that the systems and socities had played very big roles in determing ones life. Life was programmed with the schools work and also societys expectation. People were competing each other to show their capability in reading n digesting books. Where was the FREEDOM of being a truly u???? The people who succeed and became proffessional workers may say If i dun do well, i wont be what i am now. U may be successful, but are u creative enough to make something that gives big impact to ur career? A wise man says u work hard and u will get good job. U work smart and u ll become the Boss. Past is past but do we really learn from the past? Seeing todays scenario, I welcome every new strategies n systems that the autorithy proposes. Why? Because the society has taught me to ACCEPT everything. (I am not a rule breaker) but when i sit back n think about my life, i realise that MY PAST has influenced me a lot in my decission making. Now I have a child who is going to face the new PPMR (a replacement for PMR). And now is only JANUARY but everyone is aware of his PPMR more than his life progress. And I as a parent am also focussing on it as if he does not do well, i ll be the saddest creature on earth. Where is the football match that he used to love? Where is leisure time for him to ease his mind?? Blaming me for tighten his schedule?? Yes. Because I have to! Moreover i feel that he is the experiment specimen of this new system n this year he will face without any clear explanation on how the exam will be! I wish i can let he enjoys his teens life n build his strong character full of creativity and passion but i have to admit i need to make him get rid of PRESSURE after RESULT! (U know when u do not do well, people will ask u with more questions together with assumptions!) So now as a rule follower..i just can sit and write my opinion. No matter how good we try to change the system, we are still bounded by the same walls. We can never change the system that the people has done, but we hve the brain to change their mind!
