Speaking of ducks..... and it seems that ducks are a hot topic in my life this year. An update and conclusion to the story about Duck Vader, the Muscovy terror of our neighborhood: I asked a neighbor whatever happened to the bully, as I havent seen him in about 2 months and figured the gator might have offed him . It seems that, Duck Vader had the misfortune to attack a person who had connections.... as in the St Cloud Police Dept..... well, the neighbor came home one night to find not one, not two, not three but SIX..... yes, SIX police cars and numerous officers ( I imagine lights flashing on their cars, megaphones, tasers poised ) had surrounded Vader and two officers had him PINNED to the pavement. I guess the rest of the officers were keeping the public at a safe distance from the scene...... anyhow, its a helluva way for a duck to go out. I wished I had been present, I would have saluted ( sans coffee cup ) the feathery legend that once roamed and owned the pond behind my home.
