Speaking of tone.... Andrea Farina just aptly demonstrated the three different pickup tone choices, and unlike many Les Paul soloists I hear (subjective perception) choose the neck pup position predominantly (but did use the middle position during a chording section and the bridge position albeit briefly). Tone is like beauty and art in the eye of the beholder, and MY personal preference is warm and woody. Too often IN MY OPINION, soloists go to the bridge position for added bite and intensity, which seems to diminish the uniqueness of a Les Paul - THE ABILITY TO SOUND LIKE A HUMAN VOICE WITH A SOUL. Again, personal perception, preference, and opinion.
