Special. Lily Langtree, The Great American Dog, has an unusual new demand. She will not go out the backdoor in the afternoons when I get home unless I kiss her on both cheeks followed by a kiss on her forehead (I never thought I would be a dog kisser). I did it once several months ago when she did not feel well, and now it is a ritual that must be performed before every afternoon backyard romp. The Yorkies bolt out the backdoor without need of the Three Kiss Routine. Lily just waits at the door looking up at me with that Where are my kisses look on her face. She wants to feel a little Special. Everyone needs to feel Special now and then. The Bible does say I am fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). A One Of A Kind, Handmade, Fine Creation of God. Special. So are you. So is Lily. The Yorkies are too. Each in our own way. Make someone feel Special today and you will have done a great thing that might change a life, or maybe change the world. Do good today.
