Special for Calendar/Events/Benefits/Listings DREAMS: A Juried Art Exhibit and Book Reading Opening Reception: Saturday, November 2, 2013, 7-9pm Kahwa South, 204 2nd Avenue South, St. Petersburg, Fla., ¸33701 What: A kickoff reception and book reading for a month long art exhibit featuring 24 original interpretations of a dream selected from over 78 submissions plus a reading from the soon to be published book, The Dream Belongs to the Dreamer by Author Velva Lee Heraty. When: The Opening Reception is Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 7-9pm. The exhibit closes Friday, November 29, 2013 at 5:00pm Where: Kahwa South, 204 2nd Avenue South, St. Petersburg, Fla., 33701 Features: · Works depicting dream states from well established and emerging artists. · A reading from the book, The Dream Belongs to the Dreamer by author and co-sponsor Velva Lee Heraty, aka Dream Momma. · Complimentary wine, hors d oeuvres, and chocolate from Chart 411, Gratzzi Italian Grille, and GateauOChocolat, respectively. · Videotaping and live streaming by co-sponsor Life Improvement Radio. · Awards and prizes for the three finalists. · The opportunity to pre-order an autographed copy of the book at a discounted price. Curator: The exhibit is sponsored by Dream Momma and Life Improvement Radio and curated by Velva Lee Heraty. This is Heratys fifth art exhibit in St. Petersburg and continues to reflect her vision of further enhancing the St. Petersburg art scene by blending established professionals with talented emerging artists. She feels St. Petes art community is ready for the challenge of a juried show.
