Speechless. (I know, mark the record books!) My heart is filled with love, happiness, gratitude, pride, and joy! I am honored to be the young woman in the story! The events of that summer so many years ago (Zach used to fall asleep in my lap at the end of the SCAMP day- unheard of!) created a lifetime bond with my very close second family. I always wanted younger siblings, and it is amazing how God works. I love this quote: Family isnt always blood. Its the people in your life who want you in theirs. The ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile, and who love you no matter what. -Unknown. Zach and his family ARE a part of my family. My parents, sister, friends, everyone connected to me loves and cares about Z. Honestly, it isnt WHY we are connected, the thing that matters most is that we ARE connected, forever. Zach has made me who I am. He teaches me some of the most important things in life, and reminds to see the good in everything because trust me- there is good!! Oh, the stories I have... Michelle should write a book and let me be a contributor! The first time I went to their house, it was interview-ish. I got there and Zach was in the kiddie pool in the back yard: clothes, shoes, a delighted smile, and all. Another standout memory took place years ago at Panera, when someone noticed us from under the stall in the bathroom. She saw his feet (boy shoes) going one way and my feet (girl shoes) going the opposite way and made an assumption. When we came out of the bathroom, we were met by the manager who was surely relieved that the assumption was wrong. Last one for now- I cannot ride an escalator (With or without Zach) and not smile, thinking of the first time I went to Somerset with him and he sat down on the escalator. Zach really enjoys the ride, now that he knows to stand up :) Im thankful (a tremendous understatement!) to be part of Zachs and his familys daily lives. I adore (another enormous understatement!) Zacharamarooski, and he will always be part of my life.
