Spencer was missing for nearly 3 months --a total of 78 days-- in a wooded area of Minnesota full of owls, coyotes, and black bears. This heroic recovery is an inspiration for others not to give up. The Wards were super dedicated and did absolutely everything I recommended. Spencer was indoor-only and escaped when the wind blew open the door to the garage. Heres a report from the owners: Kim, We want our story to help others whore going through this ordeal. Your e-book was a huge help; so was your ongoing support and encouragement not to worry about coyotes and your steady encouragement to us to not give up. As you know, we had steely determination. Searching and doing everything you advised-- even when we were exhausted and depressed-- was key, no matter what others thought or did (including when they stole our signs). As was prayer and trusting God. It was a key component in our search. We did our best and God did the rest. When we finally found his hiding place and got him on camera, I literally ran around the house screaming with joy. When we got him home, his face was scratched up, but he is doing well now. His labs were good, but he lost almost 1/3 of his body weight. No mites, fleas, or ticks. The vet is happy with the overall results. They show that Spencers body is making up for the malnourishment. Hes now back into all his old routines, but he doesnt play for long periods of time yet. Much sleeping. An obsession with food (understandable). We have to put him in another room while we are cooking or he would eat anything on a counter in a split second. Hes super cuddly and doesnt like to be alone, and neither do we! Right now, he is cuddled up behind me in my computer chair as I write this... purring, purring, purring, purring, eyes closed. Its heaven to have him back. Thank you again for your help throughout this long ordeal. Your advice was invaluable.
