Spent seven hours at the protest today. I have been hearing a lot of misinformation on Facebook. People are saying that it was violent or that it was a riot. This is absolutely not true. Sure, there was a small handful of people being verbally abusive or provocative, but those people were by far in the minority. This was largely a very peaceful protest. As for some of the remaining protesters going up on the highway, I strongly disapprove. That is when I left. There is no reason to disrupt the economy of the entire state, just to prove a point about our law-enforcement. Two people that think there is no reason to protest, you obviously do not understand these issues. New Mexico has an extremely high police violence rate.
