Spent the afternoon at Carson Shelter checking out Henry for an east coast friend - bad news is that he wasnt available, good news is that he had already been adopted an hour before I arrived by Wagging Dog Rescue . There are SO MANY great dogs at Carson... A beautiful 4 y.o. GSD named Max, a 4 y.o. big blue blockhead named Marcus, three owner surrender Akitas who are STUNNING and very well behaved. I fell in love with a goofy Shepherd/Dane mix that they have named Justin - hes more of a Luke or a Jethro. There was not a mean bone in his energetic body and he needs a really active household who will harness that energy. He wants to please and already knows sit and down. He is neutered and was someones friend as he has a microchip that no one responded to - so now hes available - A4774838. About 1-2 years old and long, lean and lanky. This guy is the quintessential Marmaduke. The photo makes him look petite - with full weight, he should be about 90 lbs. I took him out for a playdate and after he had a moment to settle, he was playful and wanted to engage with people. He will need further training, but his energy is positive and good and with an exercise partner, he will be a fabulous family dog.
