Spent the afternoon visiting Ohs farm at 14A Bah Soon Pah Road (Sembawang). Fascinating to learn about our local vegetable industry. Did you know that we grow 12% of our own veggies? What is more surprising is that the farm has the capacity to produce 50% more veggies each month but they are not doing it because we are not buying it! We should buy local and support our farmers! The veggies are fresher and we leave a smaller carbon footprint! Do you actively look for local produce? You can buy direct from the farm. Each bag of veggies is $1. They also grow Sweet Basil, Italian parsley and dill. Good place to bring the kids for a tour so they learn about local farming! If you are a teacher, consider bringing students there!
