Spent the day cooking. Started at 7:30 am. Just finished at 6:30 pm. We have cooked 4 20+lbs of turkey, 1 10lb turkey, 1 10lb turkey breast, two very large pans of hash brown bake, 4 half hams, 5 quarts of gravy, a cranberry dish, and 6 pies (3 pumpkin, 3 dutch apple from scratch). Tomorrow we will cook the last two 10 lb turkeys, grill a dozen turkey legs, wings, drumettes, stuffing, sweet potatoes, green beans, green bean casserole, and mashed potatoes. Then we will take all this food down to Tampa to feed about 40 - 50 deputies tomorrow night that have to work on this holiday and dont get a Thanksgiving dinner. It is our way of saying Thank You for keeping our streets safe and for putting their life on the line for us. And not to mention, for our daughter who has to work as well. Lets hope it transports well and we have no problems along the way. :)
