Spent time today with a 74 year old man who had suffered a bad stroke, which started last night, and with which he went to bed, to see if it would straighten itself out. As we struggled around each other in the bathroom at one point, him unable to recognize the right side of his of his body, him angry and confused, me trying to stay out of his poop which was everywhere, heels, hands, legs, back, I had to get firm at one point and tell him he was going to have let me help him. He finally turned around for me and held the bar I led his hands to, and he said, If you would have told me something this bad was going to happen, I would have said you didnt know shit.
