Spiritual food for thought re Palestine and all the other oppressed people of the world. Allah swt promises in the Quran 2:28: On no soul does Allah place a burden greater than it can bear. Allah swt places upon us a set of conditions, hardships, and trials (be they physical, spiritual, psychological, etc) that are ordained, and Decreed by the All-Knowing All-Wise Lord Himself in order to determine whether one is grateful or ungrateful when faced with adverse and extremely difficult conditions. We live in Western countries where our trials are much less because we most probably cannot bear and cope with the difficult situations faced by the oppressed abroad. We are weaker, they are stronger. Courage was not made in Western countries, true courage is only found amongst the oppressed. True cowardice is truly expressed by those who: 1. are doing the oppressing 2. express support for the oppressors 3. show impotence in acting against the oppressors when they have an ability to act 4. remain neutral 5. stay silent. We are being tested as well, so make dua for the oppressed to increase them in courage, iman, resilience, resolve, patience, and steadfastness against their oppressors during our condition of weakness.
