Spiritual growth is a painful process. This is especially true when you are fighting battles very few people have the stomach for...let alone the strength. Everything you have already endured in this life is what makes it possible to be strong in times of adversity and the vision you will need to see your way through the dark. Butterflies begin their journey as what most people would consider unsightly and malformed. Instinctively the caterpillar knows to wrap itself in a lonely cocoon until it is time to transition to something better. As it emerges from its sanctuary, its swollen body is pitiful and grotesque. Soon, wings emerge and what was once ugly and struggling for freedom becomes something grand and beautiful. God makes no mistakes.
