*Spoilers if you havent seen Iron Man 3, but lets be honest, if you havent seen it by now you probably dont care* So it appears a rumor has started that Ben Kingsley is working with Marvel on a secret project to bring the REAL Mandarin into the Marvelmovie verse. I for one am not excited about this prospect. First of all, it undermines IM3, which though not a good movie (it wasnt the Mandarin reveal that made it bad), is part of their canon and if they start doing this to appease angry fans, well slippery slopes my friend. This kind of mess is how Jason Todd ended up becoming the Red Hood in DC. Its just wrong. Second of all, the Mandarin is not a character that really works in todays society where racist stereotypes are given a more strict leash. Third, I loved the subterfuge of IM3. YOu got me Marvel, good job! I wasnt expecting it. Dont make it a cheap trick and try to Fool us again. Anyway, my two cents.
