Spoke with Patti tonite and several good things to report. First sometime in the next 7 to 10 days or so Windy will be moved to Select Specialty in Gainesville. This is a step below the hospital but above a nursing home. We have one located at St. Joe Hospital. Their goal will be to rehab Windy so she hopefully (no setbacks please.) can return home to Ft Wayne in November. Where she will come home to will depend on her wound healing. Patti said she helped dress the wound and she can see new tissue and it gettin smaller. She also says it looks so good!!! Windy is having issues with eating. Because of the paralysis to her vocal cords it is hard for her to swallow somethings, which leads to her vomiting. P.T. says she will have to just learn to eat smaller bites. Overall Windy is improving and doing remarkably well considering where she was two months ago. She will still have a long rehab ahead of her but with all of your support and prayers, God , friends and family will get her thru!! Patti ask me to post a pic to the Carepage, so give me a bit and I will try to get it done. Have not done this before so fingers crossed!!
