Sr. BJP leader Dr. Swamy supports creation of Gorkhaland Guwahati 23rd Nov 2014; In an interactive session organized by Patriotic Social Media Foundation in Guwahati today Senior Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) leader veteran parliamentarian, India’s one of the tallest intellect and senior lawyer of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India supported the creation of Gorkhaland in a reply to the question raised by Nanda Kirati Dewan, All Assam Gorkha Students’ Union (AAGSU)’s senior leader after his formal address at the North East Patriotic Meet. Elaborating reasons for his support for creation of Gorkhaland Dr. Swamy outlined states like Chattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Jharkand are doing better in all spheres. I’ am in particular in support of creation of smaller states and the nation has seen this transition over the years. ‘ Dr. Swamy added. ‘Yes Gorkhas must have a state of their own and Gorkhaland should be created out of North Bengal’ replied Dr. Swamy to the AAGSU leader when he directly asked him if he thought Gorkhaland should separated from West Bengal. Dr. Swamy in his 75 minutes addresses to his followers of social media wide range of issuses of national and regional interest like national integration, Hindu nationalist, Assam Accord, compared plans and polices of current government and previous governments in various context. He largely spoke of mindset of Indianness. ‘Being a fearless Hindu and Indian first should our mindset as a citizen of Union of India’- Dr. Swamy asserted referring to his action plan for national renaissance. He made a relevant observation that the Assam Accord signed in 1985 has become outdated today and it needs amendment so that the Bangladesh government accepts their nationals or give India their portion of land in proportionate to Bangaldeshi immigrants and settle them . Hindu being way of life, all Indians by default are Hindus there is no doubt about it and it is scientifically proven through DNA similarities. Around 250 active social media followers of the North East India assembled to hear Dr. Swami at the Vivekananda Kendra, Guwahati. Prof. Phirmi Bodo the organizer-in-chief of the interactive session gave the introductory and welcome address while Sunil Deodhar, Convenor of BJP’s North East Sampark Cell also made a special address. Jagdish Shetty convenor of Patriotic Social Media Foundation moderated the interactive session. Earlier Dr. Swamy was welcome with traditional headgear Jhapi, Karbi Arnoi and xorai while Nanda Kirati Dewan him with traditional Gorkha Dhaka Cap and khada.
