#SriSri Ravi Shankar in Satsang today Today is the last Monday day of the Shravan month. In this month Lord Shiva is specially prayed to. Do you know the significance of this month? It is said we get joy through accessorizing Lord Vishnu, but we Lord Shiva is pleased when one does Abhishek(ceremonial Holy bath) to Him. Lord Shiva does not sit in a temple somewhere, He is present in this whole creation. His body is this entire creation. In the month of Shravan there are rains and thus Abhishek happens to this entire creation. Everything gets washed and the Earth blossoms. The Earth is his body and the sky and stars are His garland. In this month Lord Shiva himself does the Abhishek. Therefore in this month, Lord Shiva’s puja is considered to be supreme. The whole creation rejoices and blossoms and when we do puja, we also rejoice along with nature. Ques: How many Avatars are there? Some say 8 some 10… #SriSri: Wherever God descends, there you will find Avatars. There are infinite Avatars, there is no restrictions on the number!.. You keep yourself ready to receive and God will descend in you too. Ques: Why was this world made? #SriSri: It was made for Me! (laughter) And if you ask why are there so many problems made in this world, then that was made for you! (laughter again) And these problems were made so that you don’t get comfortable in this world.
