St. Edward FB friends: As you know, St. Edward has done over 100 projects for the troops. Last year we added goody bags for the soldiers wives. It was greatly appreciated and Mrs. Curry is doing it again. If you would like to donate you can drop off items to me or send home with the girls. I have been in contact with Mrs Curry and told her I would get it to her. Here is the info from her on the project, what they need and when they will meet to assemble. Thanks! Greetings friends. We are now planning our 2nd Ladies night for the ladies of Fort Campbell. These women are amazing to me. Many of them have just made it through their husbands 3rd deployment. Our contact this past year, Major Miller, has 3 children under the age of 9. His wife was a single parent of 3 for the past year while also serving as an FRG (Family Readiness Group) Leader to help other wives with anything that comes up. These women also serve and deserve to be remembered. I am enclosing a list of items that we are looking for to make small gifts for the ladies. We just want them to know that we appreciate what them. Everything on the list can be purchased for $10 or less OR you may have some of the items in your closet. We will gather together for a ladies night (date TBD) to put the items in gift bags. They will be delivered to Fort Campbell and given out at the Battalion Christmas party. There were many tears from the wives last year when they received their gift bags. One wife told me no one has ever done anything like this for us We have been taking care of soldiers and their children for many years. Its time to recognize the wives/mothers. I hope you will join me on this overdue worthy project.
