St Giles Church, Imber Carol Concert Reminder 15 November 2013 ST GILES CHURCH CAROL CONCERT 21st December 2013 There are still a few tickets available for the carol concert so if you have put off getting yours, here is your chance. The fifth Christmas Carol Concert will be held at 2.30 pm on Saturday 21st December, 2013. Seasonal music will be provided by the Bratton Silver Band and the Salisbury St Thomas Hand - Bell Ringers. As the Concert has become increasingly popular it is necessary to limit the number attending to 250. Those who attended the Carol Concert in 2012 will recall that the church was packed to over capacity which raised Health and Safety concerns. This year entry to the Carol Concert will be by ticket only. Although a ticket will guarantee entry it will not necessarily guarantee one of the 150 seats available on a first come first served basis. TICKETS COSTING £5 EACH WILL BE LIMITED TO 6 FOR EACH APPLICATION. A free glass of mulled wine or soft drink and a mince pie will be offered. The duration of the Concert will be approximately one hour. There is no heating in the church. You are advised to dress accordingly. Please note that the church will not be open until 1. pm. Should you wish to purchase tickets please send a cheque for the required amount, made out to: ‘The Friends of St Giles’ to: Peter Lankester The Barn 26A Court Lane Bratton Westbury Wiltshire BA13 4RF Please enclose a stamped addressed envelope for the delivery of your tickets. Cheques will not be cashed until after the event. Should the Concert be unavoidably cancelled because of bad weather all cheques will be destroyed and no money taken. A free bus service (No 23A) will operate from Warminster Rail Station, leaving promptly at 1.30 pm and returning fifteen minutes after the concert. Donations will be invited towards running expenses. N.B. Concert ticket holders only will be permitted to board the bus for the journey to Imber. If you want to travel to Imber in your own car you are free to do so and there is ample parking near to the church. As you are probably aware, the Ministry of Defence always reserves the right to deny access to SPTA at short notice for operational reasons.
