St. Ignatius, along with Polycarp, were disciples of the Apostle St. John who wrote one of the four gospels and out of the four gospels , theres only two of them are Apostles out of the twelve ,St John and St Matthew . St. Ignatius of Antioch a disciple and student of St John the Apostle was at the foot of the cross with the Blessed Mother St. Ignatius (A.D. 110) was the third bishop of Antioch, succeeding St. Evodius, who was the immediate successor of St. Peter. St. Ignatius is given the title of Apostolic Father of the Church since he was a disciple of the Apostle St John. . After the Crufixion . Hes been there in the Eucharist in the Catholic Church for over 2000 years ,You are What you Eat and make sure that your Worthy to receive .
