St James ladies society meeting was on Monday July 15 at 6 pm to discuss several important events that will be taking place for St James Church. In the meeting we had voted and agreed to on several events which we would like to inform the rest of our ladies who were not able to attend. 1. Cleaning the church and the altar, Najla Emses volunteered in organizing the monthly cleaning of the inside of the church. She will create monthly schedule of 3 ladies each week to volunteer helping clean the inside of the church. Please if she contacts you please volunteer your help at least once, so everyone will get a turn. 2. Arlington Street Fair Sept, 21 we will be taking a table to help our church. At this fair we are going to be selling Spinach pies, Falafel, Taboulah, chicken rolls, Gyros sandwiches, humus, baklawa, qatayefs (stuff pancakes with walnuts). If you wish to help please contact Khouria, Lalia Qaqish or Vera Adeeb. Your help is needed in making the food. We will supply you with the ingredients if needed. This will be the menu Arlington Street Fair on Sept 21, 10 am Also we will need help on that day for sales. 3. Bible Study with Abuna Nimri Ladies will meet at the church, The date is not set yet. We would like your opinion on which day of the week will be good for all. Maha Nesheiwat and Najla Emses will be in charge and organizing this bible study. Please feel free to contact them. 4. Madagra Party on Sept 28 for the Ladies Society of St James Church. It will be on Sat at 5 pm We will be inviting Ladies Society Churches from all areas to come and visit our church and have church services with us. Abouna will be giving church service before the party begins for them We would like to make a good impression and hope to have everyone come and meet them. You can wear your madagra’s at the party if you wish. Only ladies, Please tickets will be $50 and young ladies ages 12 to 16 $30.
