Stalinists have continued to assist capitalism in the times of its crisis, again and again, by accepting and hailing the solutions offered by the capitalist regime to such crisis and binding the working class and toilers to such solutions. To understand their intriguing role, one may just recall the assistance they gave to UPA-I in forming the government at centre. More recently, in gang rape case in Delhi, that erupted in huge mass upsurge at India Gate, Stalinists punctured the 16 Decemeber movement by throwing unqualified support behind the totally bogus Verma Committee report. For instance, Stalinists spokesperson, Kavita Krishnan, a polit bureau member of CPI ML Liberation, referring to Verma Committee report, wrote in a comment, The Report, commendably prepared within a month, following a welcome process of serious engagement with activists and scholars in the field, does several things that are undoubtedly path-breaking. It firmly upholds the principle that violence on women should be understood from the perspective of women’s autonomy, bodily integrity and dignity, rather from patriarchal notions of honour and shame.....”.
