As part of our aggressive expansion and succession planning program, we are inviting duly qualified and highly experienced professionals from the hospitality industry to join our team as:- Financial Controller (Based in Australia) Reporting to the Hotel General Manager and the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for the overall financial management of the hotel including financial accounting and reporting, internal controls, compliance with statutory and other regulations, and maximizing profits for the hotel. Your day-to-day duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:- • Ensuring timeliness and accuracy of daily, weekly and monthly financial reports • Responsible for the preparation of year-end accounts and liaising with external auditors to provide clearance on statutory accounts • Continuously manage and support budget and forecast activities • Regular review of all aspects of management reporting, and financial accounting controls and procedures • Analyzing and advising on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues • Ensuring efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems • Trouble shooting and identifying areas where performance can be improved • Assisting Department Managers and the General Manager in managing profitability To contribute positively to the hotel, you should possess the following attributes:- • CPA or CA with a degree in Accounting or Commerce • At least 5 years’ accounting experience as Financial Controller or similar accounting role • Detailed knowledge of all facets of premium hotel operations • Highly proficient in analysis and interpretation of hotel’s financial and management accounting data • A practical and logical thinker who exhibits strong interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills The successful applicants can expect a rewarding remuneration/benefits package with the possibility of acquiring Australian Permanent Residency.
