Standing outside the Home Ministrys walls, watching money change hands. Yes, full disclosure, I did have to pay my pounds worth of flesh to get my paperwork through. The alternative was calling up the Joint Secretary. So, todays ethics question of the day: do you pay a minion to get the work done, or do you contact a higher-up and walk through halls where people look at you with a combination of disgust and envy. Id pay every time. And no, Im Bangladeshi, so waiting two weeks for a simple signature is not an option allowed by culture.
