FRIDAY • CASH – Ring of Fire Starts at Jetty Memorial Theatre 8:00pm till 10:30pm + 11 more dates including matinee’s Directed by Pat Slattery and featuring some of Coffs Harbour’s finest singers, actors and musicians, CASH – Ring of Fire promises to be something truly unique that will delight audiences young and old. Featuring guitar, fiddle, mandolin, blues harmonica, banjo, piano and drums, the audience will be amazed at the music generated by this talented group brought together specifically for the show. SATURDAY • NPWS Walk the Coast - Woolgoolga to Arrawarra Headland 8:00am to 4:00pm National Parks and Wildlife have created a full day ranger guided walks that will lead you along the beautiful sandy beaches and rugged headlands. It traverses the captivating Solitary Islands Coastal Walk is a 67km stretch of the scenic Coffs Coast between Red Rock and Sawtell. Highlights of the walks include wildlife encounters, whale watching, fascinating coastal history and Aboriginal Cultural interpretation by Gumbaynggirr Elder and award winning Discovery Ranger Mark Flanders. Important note: A medium degree of personal fitness is required to complete this walk. You will also need comfortable walking shoes, hat, sunscreen, lunch, snacks and plenty of water. Celebrate Culture, Music and Dance in the City Square A collaborative cultural activation highlighting the diversity and depth of community talents. With a 21.1km Half Marathon, 10km Fun Run, 5km Fun Run/Walk and a 3km Family Fun Run/Walk, there is something for everyone. For more info go to villagesports.au • Coffs Harbour Boardriders Comp. Check the Coffs Coast Board Riders Facebook page for where they’ll be. • Toast Urunga Morgo Street Reserve, Urunga Toast Urunga is an annual festival full of fun and entertainment for the whole family, celebrating the very best local foods, wines and boutique beers of the Mid North Coast. Live music by a variety of performers, from blues and jazz to modern and classic, adds to the festive atmosphere. Set in beautiful Morgo Street Reserve adjacent to the estuary of the Kalang and Bellinger Rivers, the festival makes for a perfect day out. Toast Urunga takes place between 10am and 4pm. Entry is a $5 donation and accompanied kids under 12 are free. COMING UP • WRC, ARC and Off-Road Championship Coffs Coast will play host to the Coates Hire Australian Rally Championships, the Australian Off-Road Championships plus the Australian leg (Round 10) of the 2013 FIA World Rally Championships. The three events will all culminate in 3 days of high speed motor action from 11 to 14 September 2014 with rally drivers from 13 nations.
