Star stuff I took this shot somewhere on the way to Oman at 2pm - TopicsExpress

Star stuff I took this shot somewhere on the way to Oman at 2pm on a rather gloomy day. They rest...sort of happened inside of my computer. This is a 5-stop, dynamically blended photograph. I used Nik Software Silver Efex Pro 2 for BW conversion, Viveza 2 for local toning and dodge/burn process. Photoshop CC was used for image clean-up, sky & stars transplant. Topaz ReStyle came in the end for primary grading and final polish. I used Canon 5d Mk3 and Canon 50mm f1.2L lens with Heliopan circular polariser. Tripod was Gitzo GT5541LS. Really Right Stuff BH-55 ballhead supported the camera. Promote Remote Control was used for exposure bracketing. Photo tip: you dont need a perfect time of the day, a spectacular sunset or sunrise for landscapes if you are going to be converting your photograph to black and white. In fact, harsh sun, deep and sharp shadows look great in B&W!
