Started as a small venture, at home, Anoopam Snacks made sandwiches and delivered them to canteens, theatres’ food joints and various other snack bars. Then in 1986 it established it’s on food joint in Paldi. Along with fast food they pioneered the desserts in Ahmedabad. They first introduced Chocolate Pudding and Trifle Pudding in Ahmedabad. Through word of mouth Anoopam Snacks positioned itself well in the minds of its customers. Then in the year 2000, to give its patrons better service, the restaurant underwent a renovation and came up with the new brand name Real Sugar and Spices. Today Real Sugar and Spices has positioned itself in the minds of its customers as place that has served quality for years. Starting from serving sandwiches (USP being the Alu Mattar Sandwich) today it serves pastas, chole kulchas, baked dishes etc. Pioneering with two desserts, today it serves over 50 flavors in desserts including pies, plum cakes, cheese cakes etc. Interestingly, the owner of this venture, Mr. Kiran Popat has not taken any formal training in making all these items. He takes personal care of what he serves to his customers. Along with him his family supports this whole venture together, creating a space in the hearts of their customers, providing with the warmth of service they need when they arrive at Real Sugar and Spices.
