Starting at the beginning of the year I began receiving health benefits. When applying last year my healthcare provider sent me a list of dentists nearby that I could apply to. I chose the one that was closest to me and called it a day. Fast forward to today. I called to make an appointment since I havent been to the dentist in so long. A woman picks up and says, Hello? Thinking Ive called the wrong place I say, Oh sorry, Im trying to get in touch with my dentist. The woman goes, Yes, this is dentist. What you need? I tell her I need to make an appointment and she follows with, Okay, Wednesday 10:30. You come. I hesitate because Im taken off guard and she says, Or Saturday 3:30. Which one? I am confused because online it says shes closed those two days. So I tell her Wednesday works. She asks for my name, says Ok, Wednesday. Bye. And hangs up. I set down my phone unsure of what just happened and I decide to look at Yelp. Not surprisingly, I find that she has a 1-star rating based on several 1-star reviews of people claiming she was very rough and hurt their mouths with her instruments. Moral of the story is always do your research. Now Im on the phone with my healthcare provider trying to find a new dentist.
