Starting in December 2013 with a long weekend at Peyton Manning, loads of day trips to the Oncology clinic there, then transitioned to Riley for tons of pre-op visits, a month + of calling Riley home day in and day out, then months on end of being homebound except for more day trips to Riley clinic and now back Peyton Manning for monthly visits... how did we make it through the last 13 months? Saturday night we were able to support one of the organizations that surprised us several times during this journey and always brings smiles to kids faces during the most trying of times. (They do WAY more than that, but for Connor, thats whats important!) The Heroes Foundation does amazing things for the greater good of cancer research, and Team JOEY, A Heroes Foundation Program is all about the fun! Check them out! Thank goodness Mike Jansen does a great job making me look good-- there were a LOT of people there, and those were 2 REALLY big screens! ;) Chris and I had a blast seeing so many friends and getting all gussied up!
