Subsequent events will be held in Naryn, Talas, Osh, and Bishkek in April and May, and a finale event, Get in the Ring: Bishkek, will be held in early September. This years competition series will offer a handsome array of prizes and the chance for one winning team to travel to Europe for the chance to win investments of up to 1 000 000 Euros. Startup Weekend events are 54 hour hands-on skills training competitions where aspiring entrepreneurs find out if their ideas are viable under the guidance of expert mentors from KG and international. This year Kompanion Financial Group, Startup Invest, and the Central Asian Free Market Institute, have joined forces to include promising entrepreneurs in Kyrgyzstans rural communities in the competition series. Specialized prizes will be awarded for innovative ideas that exhibit the most promise to be realized in Kyrgyzstan. Prizes for event finalists will include entrance into a high-quality business mentorship program, business support and education, cash prizes of over 500 000 soms, and the chance to pitch business ideas to investors.
