Status Update - By Verplanck Residents Association TO ALL VERPLANCK-BUCHANAN-CORTLANDT RESIDENTS: Lots of important West Point Partners news here. Please read, listen, take your time and share this information widely! RECENT: Last Thursday, March 20, there was a very important NYS Public Service Commission hearing in Albany, before an administrative law judge Kevin Casutto about the West Point Partners case. Numerous intervenors and interested parties attended, including ACDC, Scenic Hudson, Riverkeeper, Champlain Hudson Express lawyers, DEC reps, PSC reps, Cortlandt and Verplanck lawyers, and more. The main topic was scheduling of events for WPP, and their schedule is radically fast compared to any more reasonable schedule anyone else would prefer. Also, their lawyer stated that they may make modest changes to the route in Athens and in VERPLANCK, but they are not changing their route overall. Please take some time and listen to the hearing. There is a lot of information in this hearing. Also ACDC spoke with James Denn, PSC Public Relations Director, before that hearing. This report has text and full audio, plus excerpted clips of the hearing, and our conversation w/ Denn: LISTEN: newsroom.wgxc.org/archives/32894 UPCOMING: TUESDAY APRIL 8th IN VERPLANCK : TOWN OF CORTLANDT PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING at THE CORTLANDT TOWN HALL.
