Stay open Share your table with strangers. Listen to their conversation. Pretend not knowing their language. Speak to them before you leave and see them surprised. Play music, loud enough to block anything but music and your thoughts. Listen but do not hear a word. Take a random bus. Walk when free. Shop when you don’t have to. Learn what won’t let you earn. Let go of time, don’t wear a watch. Write a poem when you have to write an assignment. Watch your movies alone. Eat your popcorn. Have a coffee date with your book. Don’t blow dry. Let your hair be as wild as you. Smile at babies and other kind faces. Write a letter. Write a letter to yourself and read it with someone who matters. On your 50th birthday. Draw trees. Faces. Rivers. Lines. Dots… and invisible shapes. Sit when you have nothing to do and watch people doing things important to them. Let tears moist your eyes.
