Steel Fixers Required, Qatar tech-ni-test.org/job_detail.php?token=MjE0MA== Description: steel fixers fit and secure the steel bars and mesh used to reinforce concrete on construction and engineering sites. They work on a wide variety of jobs including commercial and industrial developments, multi-storey housing and civil engineering projects like roadwork’s, tunnels and bridges. You main duties would include: • setting out the work area following engineering plans • using hand and power tools to cut and bend bars or mesh • tying rebar (reinforcement bars) together with wire, clips or welds to build up cages or sections • fitting spacers and ‘chairs’ (supports) • fixing the formwork and shuttering used to hold setting concrete in place • joining cages and sections • fixing steel to concrete bases • Installing beams and pre-cast slabs. Qualifications: Middle or F.A with 5 years experience Preferred Skills: 1) Setting out the work area following engineering plans 2) Using hand and power tools to cut and bend bars or mesh 3) Tying rebar (reinforcement bars) together with wire, clips or welds to build up cages or sections.
