Stephanie McCrummen, journalist for the WaPo, joined me for a few days, in order to get a better understanding of the transition home from deployments. Despite wanting to be open about the messiness of my own transition, I felt that I was getting through it and pushed her to look into interviewing other women veterans to tell their stories. I am so incredibly grateful that she did. Dianas story is humbling. I am beyond grateful to her for having the courage to share it. To all of the Dianas out there - every time you own your voice, you give others the courage to do the same.
