Steps to becoming a Real foodie: 1. Read labels - important to know whats in your food (also if it is even food), if you wouldnt cook with it dobt eat it. 2. Change out oils in your kitchen... better options are -coconut oil & olive oil, lard from pasture raised animals is also a great if you can find it. 3. Buy organic, local. Go visit local farms so you can see where your food is coming from. 4. Properly prepare your grains. Need to soak grains in order to maximize nutrients. You just need 1 tsp of vinegar for 1 cup rice soaked in water. Leave on counter overnight. 5. Trade out processed foods for better quality items as they run out... for instance throw out kethcup with high fructose corn syrup and make some only takes few minutes and probably have ingredients in cupboards already. 6. Buy grassfed, organic meats 7. Replace condiments... trade out white salts and sugar for raw versions lkke grey sea salt and raw cane sugar. White flour for coconut, almond meal, or sprouted flour. 8. Trade out pasteurized dairy for raw dairy from grassfed cows. If cant find then pasteurized from grassfed. Raw cheese and butter are great. 9. Add fermented foods to your daily meals. Examples are Sauerkraut, kimchi, kombucha, & kefir. 10. Be patient & Enjoy the journey towards a healthier lifestyle its not going to happen overnight and every little change is a step in the right direction!
