Stochastic terrorism is when you ramp up rhetoric intended to arouse and inflame fringe minds already barely able to distinguish reality from their fear and hate in hopes their paranoia and your yap will make them spill over into random violence, which then gives you the option of pretending to be shocked, just shocked, while excusing your crack down on what ever group you feel like scapegoating or targeting. This is how the GOP operates. Remember Palins targets on the map of Democratic candidates? Remember Gifford being shot?
