Stop! Read please! Childhood obesity is at an all time high! Some studies suggest that children who struggle with body image are 26% more likely to consider suicide. We can do something! We buy the food! We lead by example. Its up to us!! Its much easier to be a healthy role model for your family when you model healthy living as a lifestyle and something you do together, something that is fun and brings you together! Fitness is a blessing - not a chore or a punishment. Too often we leave the kids at home and they never actually see and join in our healthy play!!! With childhood obesity increasing at staggering rates, parents and schools must get serious about fitness. Kids who are physically active on a regular basis have an edge! Dont YOU want to give your child the edge? Its funny how so many parents are determined to give their children things, cell phones, new clothes, video games and gadgets but place fitness and health too low on the list! Studies have shown that kids who exercise on a regular basis: ✅ Are less likely to become overweight ✅ Have a decreased risk of developing type 2 diabetes ✅ Experience higher self esteem ✅ Have a better body image ✅ Experience less teasing and bullying ✅ Have reduced blood cholesterol levels and lower blood pressure ✅ Have reduced incidences of depression and anxiety ✅ Make friends easier ✅ Are less likely to rely on technology to prevent boredom Its time to make fitness a family focus!!
