Stop the Mosque in Bendigo HINKING OF FLYING WITH QANTAS ANYTIME SOON? Might be a good idea to read the story in last Sundays Sunday Star Times (NZ) - Is this the Face of a Terrorist? In it they talk about that Kiwi bloke killed by a drone strike. He was a radicalised Muslim working with a group of al Qaeda in the middle east. More important than that - The story points out that he was radicalised by a group of Muslims working in the Aircraft maintenance Section of QANTAS. This is just another indication of the steep decline of this Australian Airline and we should all think twice about flying with them. They have in fact recently moved their Hub to Dubai. I wrote the following letter to the Start Times in response to their story - which incidentally - I cannot find on NZ News Web SIte - even though I have a hard copy of it in my hand. THE LETTER: Sir. Seems to me that your story “Is this the Face of a Terrorist?” almost missed the point. This was a young man foolish enough to get mixed up with the worst of the worst and as a willing helper/supporter of al Qaeda he became culpable in whatever they did. On the other hand I felt that the real story here was the fact that he and a group of apparently radicalised young Muslim males are working in the aircraft maintenance section of Qantas. By any yardstick this is a very sensitive environment and potentially very vulnerable to terrorist attack that could cost hundreds of lives. Qantas needs to explain how come it is OK for a group of radicalised Muslims to work in this section when they are from the very demographic that are likely to do us harm. I for one will never fly Qantas again until they demonstrate a responsible attitude to this issue. (Sent in by Supporter)
