Story The cougar is an amazing animal.Its black legs are longer than its front legs,so it can jump incredibly high;some cougars can jump up to six metres.It is extremly strong,too and can drag its prey (which may be as heavy as the cougar itself) for long distances,until it finds a place where it can eat its food safely.Its claws are very sharp,but they can be pulled back into its toes,so the cougar can run silently.Cougars live alone;they only meet with other cougars in order to breed.Cougars can swim well and climb trees.They used to live everywhere in North and South America,from Chilie to the Yukon,but know they are quite rare.
