Story Time We begin our story with the character…Roku, named that by his Japanese superstitious mother who thought that the number six would be lucky for her son. He was raised up in a very sheltered neighborhood and is a calm good kid. Lately, however, there have been a rash of crimes in the area and he and his friends are kind of curious about it. One is his best friend, Nina, a beautiful Spanish descendant girl that he has known since he was six and the girl was nine and they moved into the same apartment complex. Now, they spend all their time together and are never apart for long. The other is a close friend, whom Roku has a bit of a crush on, Sven, an Irish American boy with chestnut colored hair and vivid blue eyes. The trio begin to investigate the killings, and follow paths into the forests where some victims were found. They have a few strange things happen to them, a few unsettling things, but nothing that proved there was anything out there. Then, Nina starts asking for them to stop searching out there, that she doesn’t feel safe. Sven and Roku both kind of shrug it off as she got scared, and they tell her she can just stay back if she wants to, but she refuses to let them because she’d be too worried about them. They are about to go out for the night when Roku decides perhaps he should see if Sven might change his mind. As he walks into Sven’s room, he sees Nina on the floor, bleeding out with chunks ripped from her face, and Sven is sitting on top of her, the flesh hanging from his teeth. The punch line? Why is six afraid of seven? Seven ate/eight night.
